The opening ceremony is like a giant apology from all the jocks around the world to all the "dweebs" they bullied at school. The opening ceremony could not have taken place without the dancers, musicians, choreographers, graphic designers, architects, poets, composers, etc etc... you get the point. It is a bit ironic how this ultimate sporting event is kicked off by something that is so beautifully artistic. The closing ceremony will probably be pretty sweet too.
Kids, it just comes to show, you don't need to be sporty to be cool. However if you're neither athletic nor creative, you're shit outta luck. Maybe it'll help to be rich.
